THE WEATHER TAG

I found the combination of books and weather interesting so I thought I give this a go. Found this on Space and Sorcery

SUNSHINE:  A BOOK THAT MADE YOU SMILE

Acsquidentally In Love by K.L. Hiers

I picked this up during a particularly troubled time of my life. My father was hospitalized for a serious illness (he made it through fortunately). None of the books I started stuck, but Acsquidentally In Love immediately hooked me with its effervescent take on the Lovecraftian mythos. It’s filled with lovable characters and a whole lot of mischief, not to mention TENTACLES! It’s the perfect book to read at that time because it was light and fluffy and made me laugh and smile.

RAIN:  A BOOK YOU COULDN’T PUT DOWN

The Kidnapping Of Roan Sinclair by Ashlyn Drewek

One sitters for me tend to be in audiobook form because I can multi-task and there is less strain on my eyes. Rarely do I finish an e-book in one sitting. But eye strain be damned because The Kidnapping Of Roan Sinclair was one heck of a page-turner! I had this ebook form and I loved how easy it is to read. Not only the writing, but the story itself also grabbed me and refused to let go.

WIND:  A BOOK THAT BLEW YOU AWAY

Play Dirty by Onley James & Neve Wilder

55692865. sy475

I had low expectations of Play Dirty because I didn’t like one of the MCs at first. Little did I know how crazy good his chemistry was with the love interest! The romance was a fire-and-gasoline levels of fantastic! The plot was also tightly paced and very suspenseful. This is the best book of the series.

HURRICANE:  A TRAGIC BOOK

Waves by Ingrid Chabbert & Carole Maurel

This book does end with hope and positivity but going through the lesbian couple’s grief at losing their unborn children is quite heartbreaking. Waves also focused on their journey towards healing. The emotions were overwhelming! I marvel at the strength of the two women.

BLIZZARD:  A BOOK YOU HAD HIGH EXPECTATIONS FOR

Real Danger by Elle Keaton

58190695. sy475

I had high expectations for Real Danger. I have known the MCs for quite some time through their appearances in various related series so I was very much looking forward to their story. Sadly, my expectations were not met. The story was too blah.

TORNADO:  A BOOK YOU DIDN’T LIKE AT FIRST BUT ENDED UP LOVING

A Touch Of Fever by Nazri Noor

58596541. sy475

I initially struggled with the first chapters of A Touch Of Fever because it was hella wordy and detailed. I don’t do well with info dumps because I am a lazy reader. Thanks to its narrator, I made it through the world-building and found myself greatly enjoying the adventures. Plural because the characters had multiple quests. This one reads like a shounen anime with a shounen-ai romance.
