Published: February 2, 1987

This is my favorite King book along with the early Gunslingers stories. King can spin a tale but I’m not really a fan of his ordinary Joes with boring names type of characters so I gravitate towards his more imaginative fantasy stories rather than his contemporary horror ones.

And he’s getting involved with a witch called Fox. Who is fortelling the destruction of the Variks. Oh my!

Antiques and ammunition do not mix well.

The title caught my attention.

A story about an antique trader crossing paths with a detective on the hunt for stolen jewels. I think this is contemporary but I’m almost hoping this would be set in the 1940s. Definitely hoping there’s a creepy maneki neko involved.
