There was a time when I was fascinated with the Tudors, especially Henry VIII and Elizabeth I, which was right about when the Cate Blanchett movies came out.

I was in my Japan Japan phase when I bought this book. Loved the inclusion of folklore creatures and the romantic interest at the end was a nice surprise.
