It’s been six months since broody auto-mechanic Kumazawa moved in next door to Koichi, a streamer who claims to be an expert on love. After one too many loud recordings, Kumazawa finally snaps and shows up at Koichi’s door… only to shut him up with a passionate kiss!

Kumazawa has no interest in pursuing a straight guy, but Koichi stops by night after night and won’t leave until he’s “satisfied.” Coming off the heels of a traumatic breakup in which his partner cheated, Kumazawa is convinced he and Koichi won’t work out, but Koichi is determined to persuade him otherwise. Can a physical relationship between two people who are totally NOT “meant to be” turn into something real…?

Kumazawa, a gruff auto mechanic, has had enough of his noisy neighbor, YouTuber Koichi. When he storms over to demand silence, their heated argument ends with an unexpected kiss. Soon, Koichi is spending more time in Kumazawa’s apartment, teasing him for more.

Knowing Koichi is straight, Kumazawa held himself back but the Youtuber is persistent until he gives in thinking it’s just fodder for Koichi’s videos. What started as physical soon turns more intimate as Koichi becomes more attached to Kumazawa, who turns out to have a possessive streak.

It would have been an ideal slice-of-life story but life throws a wrench in the happy couple’s honeymoon phase.

One conflict is Koichi’s desire to come out to his subscribers. Kumazawa and his video editor warn him of the repercussions of letting his viewers know he’s dating a man. Kumazawa is adamant about keeping his privacy.

Kumazawa is estranged from his family and it is implied it’s because of his sexuality. Later, a major shakedown leads to an surprise reunion with his brother who has a secret connection to Koichi.

The physical part is pretty spicy but the heart of this manga is how Kumazawa’s and Koichi’s opposing personalities play off each other. Koichi is flirty and playful, often the one initiating affection while Kumazawa has more subtle expressions, often stoic but really enjoying himself. Kumazawa is tall and broad with an intimdating presence that scares Koichi’s stalkers away.

Even with hurdles. they keep coming back to each other at the end of the day. The care and affection is palpable in Kumazawa’s home-coooked meals and constant reminders that the too-open-for-his-own good Koichi be cautious. That Koichi has a grumpy bear plushie is ridiculously cute especially as a nod to the “kuma” in Kumazawa. Cozy, warm, and sweet, overall, it’s meant to be.
