This is an intriguing historical fiction with a unique protagonist. Adelia is the “mistress of death” a.k.a. a medical examiner solving murder mysteries for King Henry. Her companions a.k.a. sidekicks were a Jew and a Moor which were pretty controversial for that time period as if a woman doctor poking around dead bodies is not scandalous enough.

A book about making a movie with an gay actor with disability and his best friend who used to be his boyfriend? I haven’t read the first book but definitely adding these to my TBR list.
