I have no idea what kind of game animal crossing is. I’m guessing it’s a boardgame? Too lazy to google. Whatever it is, this seems like a fun tag to do.

Found this on Books Are 42. This tag was created by Bookish Things and Tea.

Animal Crossing: Gamecube – A Classic That You Want to Read!

I have a bit of inverse snobbery going on when it comes to classics due to shitty ones I’ve read (ex. Milan Kundera’s Unbearable Lightness of Being which is really just about tiresome marriage woes, ugh!). The ones I enjoyed are few and far in between (ex. The Catcher In The Rye, Bullfinch’s Mythology, Umberto Eco stuff). The LGBT classics are particularly dismal with their almost obligatory tragic endings, so it’s a pleasant surprise that Maurice was specifically written to have a happy ending. Want to read that, definitely.

Animal Crossing: Wild World – Your Favourite Second Book in a Series!

I believe in “the first book syndrome” which is where the first book is kind of meh but still kind of interesting enough for you to pick up the next books which would then turn out to be awesome.

5-star book twos:

Animal Crossing: City Folk – Your Favourite Book That is Set in a Large City!

A ROFL-inducing comics about a gay beautician, Ada, and his boyfriend, Dodong, moving to the greener pastures of Metro Manila. Ada also transforms into ZsaZsa Zaturnnah, a female superhero who battles alien monsters from outer space.

Animal Crossing: New Leaf – The Best New Release You’ve Read Recently!

I’m not that updated when it comes to new releases. Couple of the more recent ones I’m reading are:

Isabelle – A Book That’s Been with You Through Thick and Thin!

My The Cat Who collection has survived moving, house renovations and multiple floods intact. Koko and Yum Yum are watching over us. Praise be!

Bells – A Book That’s Rich with Characters!

Has a cast covering almost all alta sociedad of Asia. Which makes them such a delicious piece of work to read because we know these people.

Pitfall – A Book That You Wouldn’t Mind Never Seeing Again!

I’m stingy when it comes to my stars. It’s rare for me to give 5s but rarer still to give 1s.

The unlucky 1s I don’t want to see again are:

Fossil – Your Favourite History/Historical Fiction Book!

This is a book I’m particularly fond of. Not only it kick-started my interest in the Tudor monarchs, I loved that this book is written from the POV of the jester, which is rare for most genres.

About time we shine the spotlight on jesters, don’t you think?

That’s it. Hope you liked this post. I’ll leave you with a dancing pug.
