An award winning heartfelt comedy. Coming out can be difficult… Coming out to your parents can be worse. Written from personal experience, ‘Out!’ focuses on the honest, painful, often awkward and sometimes funny, conversation that so many of us have to have when telling our parents we’re not who they expected us to be. The moment conversation dries up, and the truth comes tumbling out.

    FLICKer: The Gunfighter

    January 20, 2022 / No Comments

Featuring LGBT short films I found around the interwebz a.k.a Youtube. Okay sucky intro, but yeah, that’s it.

In a small town in the old west, a lone and weary gunfighter enters a saloon. As he walks through the room surrounded by the people of the town, a voice begins narrating the scene, telling us exactly who this gunfighter is. But unlike every classic western to use the narrator trope, the characters in this film can hear the voice. This omniscient narrator quickly begins divulging the deepest, darkest secrets of the people in the saloon. He exposes infidelity, homosexuality, prejudice and even a bit of bestiality. As the story unfolds it becomes evident that the voice is a bloodthirsty bastard that wants nothing more than to see the people of the town kill each other in a needless gunfight.

Featuring LGBT short films I found around the interwebz a.k.a Youtube. Okay sucky intro, but yeah, that’s it.

Santiago is perusing the streets of Cartagena when another boy catches his attention. He watches, infatuated, as the boy, Camilo, looks around the bodega. Camilo seems worried, and desperately shows the shopkeeper a photo of his Grandmother holding a Lily which he is trying to find. Dejected, Camilo turns and attempts to put the photo in his back pocket, but it misses and falls to the ground. He gets a phone call from his mother stating that he needs to find the Lily before his Grandmother’s birthday party. Santiago, now worried about Camilo’s state, rushes to pick up the photo and makes it his mission to find the flower Camilo was searching for. Santiago attempts multiple times to find the flower but fails until finally he spots the flower growing on a high balcony. He tries to reach for the flowers and just as he manages to grab them, he falls to the ground. This crash attracts the attention of Camilo as he approaches and helps Santiago up. Santiago is able to finally give him the flower he worked so hard to retrieve and return Camilo’s photograph. Camilo is stunned at first but then touched at Santiago’s dedication, and invites Santiago to walk with him.
