MANGA: Ano Ko To Juliet

Ano Ko To Juliet – Kojima Lalako
“Mitsuru and I, we’re Romeo and Juliet.” High school students, Ryousuke and Mitsuru are lovers since childhood. But their fathers are with daggers drawn. They really don’t want to be separated…With this mind, the decision to elope…?! Besides the main title work, this book also contains the love of a popular idol x childhood friend, and the timid love of the one carrying out someone else’s love letters ♥ The sparkling high school loves, a short compilation gem!
That Boy & Juliet: Madly in love high schoolers go against their father’s wishes and try to elope. Endearing but we can do without the domestic abuse.
Dramatic Boyfriend+Melancholy Boyfriend: An unexpectedly angsty and also cute story of an idol and his childhood friend turned boyfriend. We can do without pedo sensei.
The Funeral Ceremony Of Love Letters: Ghostly letter writing connects lonely high schooler to a boy mourning the loss his girlfriend. Full of tears and longing but also hopeful. Best story.

Tsumasaki Ni Kourozu – Aoi Aki
1-3) Tsumasaki ni Kourozu

But slowly as he got used to Iwai’s presence, he became friendlier in his own way, showing Iwai a whole new world and giving him guidance with life. Though every day was fun and exciting, a sense of unease began to creep into Iwai’s heart4) Lingering Light (Tsumasaki ni Kourozu – Extra)
5) A Fish’s Warmth

Magical summer tales as soothing and peaceful as sunshowers.
Tsumasaki Ni Kourozu: Gently paced age-gap romance between a socially awkward professor and his research assistant amidst fascinating illustrations of flora. No magic at all but felt so nonetheless
A Fish’s Warmth: In a world full of secret fishes, melancholy high schooler opens his heart to friend. Their fishes dance together.
August, End of Summer: College boy, dead grandfather and a lonely fox spirit. Poignant and enchanting.

EXTRAORDINARY MANGA TITLES
This post was inspired by the Top Ten Tuesday Tag on Extraordinary Book Titles because some manga titles could be pure WTF?!
The Wize Wize Beasts Of The Wizarding Wizdoms

Weird alliterative title goes perfectly well with weird were-animals studying to be wizards.
Hoppe Ni Himawari (Sunflower On Your Cheeks)

A cute story of a chubby boy who loves gardening and the baseball player who loves him.
Mitsumete, Yurarete, 15-bu (15 minutes, watching you, shaking)

Involves intense staring through the glass because train conductor was all shook up at seeing the love of his life

A very summery age-gap love story with grown up vibes.
Ezuke wa Yahan, Ano Heya De (Midnight Feeding in that Room)

Vampires.
I guess that explains the title.
Gozen Yoji, Sasayaku You Ni (Whispering at 4am)

It’s one of those ghostly love affairs that always breaks your heart.

My first impression was that it’s about futuristic time travel but no. It’s really about dealing with the past.
Koi No Senryaku Management (Strategic Management of the Love )

A very cute gay-for-you romance about salarymen.
Taka to Tonbi to Aburaage (The Falcon, the Kite, and the Deep-Fried Tofu )

Who’s who and why, I have no idea. Adorable schoolboy romance.

Also absolutely no idea about the nonsensical title but this one-shot had me LOLing.

Could be a pun or a reference to something obscure. I liked this girl-centric BL story.

Because of the cafe setting?
More charming atypical BL stories from the author of Mo’Some Sting, Tomoko Yamashita.
Chishiryoubun no Ai o Komete (Insert a Lethal Dose of Love)

Nothing so literal as the title page. It’s really about a guy who didn’t know he was gay until he found The One.

labradorescence. : a play of colors or colored reflections exhibited especially by labradorite and caused by internal structures that selectively reflect only certain colors.
Something the MC mentioned that was relevant at some point.
Realist ni Yoru Romanticism (Romanticism by the Realist)

A riff on the rich man x poor man trope made popular by Junjou Romantica
Irony Dress ni Sayonara (Goodbye to Irony Dress)

A beautifully executed story about a cross-dressing boy and his older boyfriend.
Hope you enjoyed this! My favorite is the first one. Try saying it 5 times fast. What are your favorite extraordinary titles?

MANGA: Oh My! Hotel!
Oh My! Hotel! – Jamong & Pagoi
Cool and sexy hotel concierge X Arrogant and fussy prince… How will things turn out?
Kinda cute, kinda rushed because the prince was a giant prick so how did it go from pain in the ass to kissing in the lobby?

MANGA: Mie Hariatte Surechigai

Mie Hariatte Surechigai – Yukue Moegi
Salesman Minoru dislikes his co-worker Shinji, who likes to grope him and confess his love. Even though Minoru rejects his advances, the persistent Shinji refuses to give up.
Sparkling, self-assertive semes. Repressed, resisting ukes. A hit and a miss.
The Truth Framed Like A Joke: A case of sekuhara-but-ok-if-it’s-you made Minoru realized latent feelings for his business partner. I wanted to be annoyed but Shinji’s Lab-like enthusiasm and undying devotion won me just like he won his Minoru.
Putting On Airs, And Passing Each Other By: More feelings come out in the open as Sakurazaka made Yamamoto spell out his feelings with a clever/dumb wordplay. Not warming up to the too cool Sakurazaka.

MANGA: Euterpe

Euterpe – Shishunnki
One gesture is worth more than a thousand words...
Silent psychological story of choir boys and their magical voices. Feels as poetic as it looks. That is, pretty but leaves you scratching your head.
